after more than 10 years in the game and a string of successful eps to his name, idriss d releases his first proper album on his own memento records. at first conceived as a succession of singles for his “dib 00” series (the first two being constantine and alger), the project then became more of a collection of dance floor tracks influenced by what he likes to play in his dj sets.

ive been involved in two or three major genres that are very different from each other, says vaughn robert squire from canada, better known as prison garde, who is making his true romance debut with our trep009. about his melody ep, he says: its gospel-influenced house stuff. its in line with the last couple records that i put out, but i feel like its a little more mature and that the quality of the recording is a lot higher than anything else ive done as prison garde. i recorded it at the phi centre in montreal - its a beautiful cultural center in the old port. ango and i locked ourselves in there and did a live record on an ssl in a big room.

the imogen label launched back in september with a pair of ilija rudman remixes of london acid jazz favourite brand new heavies. this second release sees them change tack somewhat, adopting an archival focus to dig out two tracks by croatian hero ilan kabiljo. known mostly for his 90s work, kabiljo comes from legendary croatian music stock - his father was composer and musician alfons alfi kabiljo. this expression 12inch sees imogen dig through the ilan archives for two rare and unreleased tracks records in 1990, with a side cut cool nights a supple midnight saunter through jazz funk that highlights kabiljo s compositional class. golden days is just as good as sounds like a loving homage to the 80s.

2017 repressed .... we are delighted to welcome back detroits rick wade to the landed records imprint. a guy who needs no introduction in the house and disco music scene, ricks stable career as a dj and producer has spanned more than two decades. treating the world to some of the best loved deep house and angry disco tracks, its easy to see why hes such a well loved and respected artist. the adjustment of status ep spins a terrific story of raw house music and angry disco - two sounds where rick is well and truly on top of his game.

belle alliance is the second studio album by german electronic music group ashra, released in 1980. it is the follow up to correlations from 1979 with the same band members: manuel göttsching (guitar, synthesizer, sequencer) , lutz ulbrich (guitar, synthesizer, piano, mellotron) , harald grosskopf (drums, percussion, synthesizer). the two albums released before under the name of ashra: new age of earth and blackouts (released under the name) had actually been manuel göttsching’s solo albums.

velly joonas is a mysterious singer, who once wanted to become a soul singer, but later choose folk music instead. frotee has released two recordings of cover versions from estonian radio archives, both tracks have estonian lyrics written by herself. in 1983, she recorded an incredible version of i see red. few years earlier she recorded lovely version of classic feel like makin love-. both previously unreleased, now available on 7inch single!

cristi cons and vlad caia are household names that really need no further introduction. their dj sets are techno stories well told and their live act is already making waves worldwide. amphia is first and foremost the platform they use to broadcast their finest works. such is the case of sideways, their latest lp, containing more than a dozen tracks coming your way trilogy style.
the first part reveals six tracks on two heavyweight discs. although most of the tracks fit the usual sit musical approach, the listener is greeted with a wide pallete of rhythms. assemble is an atmospheric dub infused with violins and orchestral echoes. permissive starts things up with a playful bass progression and continues with lush pads and cryptic voices. brooklyn’s deep moody synths and monster groove render it broken poetry at it’s best. for sure it will resemble those early danceable mornings. on a more joyful manner we are presented next with bootcamp s sturdy baseline and playful modulated vocals.
mandatory claims a whole side of the second disc and so does come around. while the first is almost experimental but danceable and warm due to the occasional driving percussions and 303 sounds the latter is the star of the show. come around is 15 minutes long and comes with a story too. a great collection of tracks, a great story that backs each one of them makes the first part of the sideways lp trilogy a treat to listen and dance to.

the third release offers more raw and stomping pieces of techno. this time two artists show there special definition of sound. the ep is splited like two faces. mason rent and joseph mcgeehan at its best!
